Kelly Demers joined Northwest Financial Advisors, a subsidiary of NW Capital Management (NWCM), as President & CEO in August 2026. A seasoned wealth management leader and respected industry executive, Kelly brings nearly two decades of experience serving individuals, families, business owners and financial advisors.

Throughout her career, she has earned recognition for her commitment to helping clients achieve their financial goals through comprehensive financial planning and holistic wealth management strategies. Her client-centered approach, combined with deep industry expertise, has enabled her to guide individuals and families through complex financial decisions with confidence.

As a leader, Kelly is equally passionate about helping advisors and teams grow their practices and strengthen their impact. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation that empowers advisors to better serve their clients and communities. In her role as President & CEO, Kelly is focused on advancing Northwest Financial Advisors' mission, expanding growth opportunities for advisors and delivering exceptional value to clients across the organization.

Most recently, Kelly served as the Alabama State Market Executive at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where she led advisors, developed talent and drove growth across the market. Prior to that role, she held leadership positions supporting the Louisiana, Mississippi, Dallas, Bellevue, WA and The Woodlands, TX markets as the Associate Market Manager. Earlier in her career, she was a Private Client Advisor within Bank of America Private Bank, advising affluent clients on complex wealth planning needs, including business succession planning, lending strategies and the management of specialized assets such as fine art collections.

Kelly began her financial services career in 2007, focusing on high-net-worth lending and sophisticated wealth strategies. Before joining Merrill, she held positions with JPMorgan Chase and the Bank of New York Mellon.

A committed community leader, Kelly currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Ballet and previously served on the Joffrey Ballet Women’s Board. She is a past chair of the Louisiana Women’s Exchange, has served as a board member of the West Point Society of Chicago and has supported literacy initiatives through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders and advancing opportunities for women in business and finance.

Kelly graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she was an Academic All-American and captain of the women’s soccer team. Following graduation, she served as an Army officer and earned her Airborne qualification.

Kelly and her husband, Dan, are the proud parents of three adult children: Derek, Belah and Frances. In her personal time, Kelly enjoys golfing, traveling and live music.
